Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions A to Z
A | About 1 AIR
What is 1 AIR?
1 AIR provides coordinated landing, airside and mobility support for helicopters, aircraft and emerging air systems. We prepare environments, manage movements and enable precise operations from arrival through to onward travel.
Is 1 AIR an aircraft operator?
No. Aircraft operators remain responsible for the aircraft and flight. 1 AIR provides the ground framework, coordination and access environment that enables those movements to take place efficiently.
What makes 1 AIR different?
We are not a fixed airport or heliport. We enable flexible aviation access closer to where aircraft are actually needed, supported by operational planning, trusted partners and a consistent coordination standard.
A | Access
How do I arrange access to a landing location?
Contact 1 AIR with aircraft type, timing and destination. We identify a suitable environment, coordinate permissions and align the services required to support arrival and departure.
Can you review land I would like to use as a landing area?
Yes. With landowner permission, we can review potential sites using mapping references such as What3Words. Each environment is assessed case by case for operational suitability.
A | Advanced Air Mobility AAM

B | Bookings and Planning
How are movements arranged?
Movements are coordinated directly with our operations team to understand aircraft requirements, timing, access, services and onward logistics.
How does a typical movement work?
Request received, environment assessed, permissions aligned, services coordinated, aircraft arrival supported, onward movement delivered.
How far in advance should movements be planned?
Earlier is preferred, especially for complex operations and events, though compressed timelines can be supported where feasible.
Can you handle short notice requests?
Yes, subject to operational feasibility. We support urgent and time critical movements.
B | Brokers
Do you work with aviation brokers?
Yes. We support brokers by providing access to suitable landing environments, coordinating services and ensuring the ground operation aligns with the flight booking.
